After returning to Bivuaka and handing the car over to the teachers, V.Žala and his co-driver P. Fruiza received some hope.
“Probably the clutch and the engine sensor are broken. If the forecast comes true, then it would be a very long night for the mechanics, but the Dakar would continue,” said P. Fruiza.
“Theoretically, there may be a scenario where the clutch has done so much business here. We will keep our fingers crossed and see what happens here, ”said V. Žala. “It shouldn’t be like that, the clutch should live on at least half of Dakar. Last year, we didn’t seem to change the clutch at all. Turn on the rail and drive all the time on it. There is no need to change the rail here, perhaps in very rare condition you can reduce it. If all goes well, use a clutch at the beginning and end. It happens that the openings to the dunes get clogged again and again and can burn it, and now … Nonsense ”.
In addition to these problems, V.Žala’s car was also damaged, and the driver himself reported it.

Then I caught him again and even in the face of dust, when we hit him a bit to the side he dodged us and drove in the dust for about 70-80 kilometers. Driving in the dust is very nervous, I feel tension and I hit the side, we fired in the bushes and we lost the hood, ”said V.Žala in a bivouac.
