Grybauskaitė is ready to get vaccinated against coronavirus even in public

“Politicians and heads of state, former leaders must set the example that they trust the vaccine, that they trust science and this invention in the fight against a pandemic”, said on Wednesday D. Grybauskait miércoles on the LRT program “Theme of the day”.

She also said she was ready to get vaccinated against the coronavirus even in public.

“It is clear that as soon as they invite me, as soon as I join a group, I am happy and even if necessary, I am really ready to get vaccinated in public,” said the former head of state.

Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys says there is currently no separate strategy to vaccinate the country’s leaders against COVID-19.

Lithuania has so far received two shipments of vaccines manufactured by BioNTech and Pfizer, a total of 20 thousand. 475 doses. There is currently a third shipment pending.

In Lithuania, doctors working with COVID-19 patients were the first to get vaccinated.
