This year, the maturity testing session will begin on June 7, two months later than planned, and will end on July 2.

The latest test results are scheduled to be released on July 23, after which graduates will receive certificates of maturity.

Some can’t get where they want to go

In the past, test results became apparent in late June or early July, meaning that certificates of maturity also reached young people faster.

Paulius Jakuitis, representative of the company Kalba.Lt, which offers consultations on study abroad 15 minutes confirmed that there will be such graduates who will not be able to enter the higher education institutions of their choice because they will receive their certificates of maturity too late this year.

They were said to exist last year, but even earlier, when the coronavirus had not yet spread across the world.

“The list of colleges that students don’t have time to get into should grow, but it won’t be significant growth. Let’s say there are several universities in Scandinavia that do not accept certificates of maturity after July 5, ”said P. Jakuitis.
