Golden Stage Crosses Producer: I sympathize with colleagues who organized MAMA – we also faced difficulties Culture

LNOBT Director Jonas Sakalauskas 15 minutes He said that he had put all his efforts into organizing the “Crosses of the Golden Stage”, so he could not analyze very carefully what was happening in the entertainment world:

“All I want to say is that we are really looking for an opportunity. And LNOBT, like many other cultural institutions, really knows how to do it safely. “

In his opinion, “another person who takes off the masks and does not follow the restrictions is the exception rather than the rule.”

“I would like to wish everyone a safe job. The better the creative sector implements it, the sooner we will be back to normal. Noisy events, where discrepancies are noted, will definitely not help to do so,” thought J. Sakalauskas.

We are all hostages to the situation

Producer of “Golden Stage Crosses” 15 minutes He said he had great sympathy for the colleagues who organized the MAMA awards. “It just came to our attention then. When you do a celebration, you inevitably want to make it the best it can be for those for whom it is intended. But today we live in an age where we, unfortunately, cannot fully enjoy these things. “

A. Alenskas stated that he had seen photos of the MAMA awards on the wall:

“I really don’t want to go against NVSC’s instructions and recommendations,” he said. – However, if this is the case (brief removal of masks from the wall for a photo – 15 minutes), It wouldn’t be so hard for me to judge everyone. “

He gave an example of how the event they organized was handled.

“A group of actors was nominated and nine or eleven names were written on the diploma. And we could not invite all of them, so we invited only 2 representatives … It was an uncomfortable thing that had to be solved,” he said .

“We are all hostages to the situation,” Alenskas said. – We have taken ultra demand. Perhaps this could have caused dissatisfaction in the theater community. The number of participants was absolutely limited, for example, a group of actors was nominated for an award. We couldn’t let everyone in, so only two people came. By the way, they passed the tests according to all the requirements. “

According to him, the spaces in the room itself and behind the scenes were “absolutely separate”, and before that, instruction on how to behave and where to go was organized.

“We made sure that only representatives from the same theater sat in the same place in the room,” said A. Alenskas.

There were pauses between the filming of Golden Stage Crosses so other artists wouldn’t meet: “It doesn’t matter if it’s Jankavičius, Starinskaitė or Adomaitis. Not only were they separate, but they also had a separate grimmer who worked in another office. “

“I saw people looking at each other. If they wanted to go say hello, we told them we’re sorry, but we couldn’t leave the area. ” 15 minutes said the interlocutor.

There was also no contact with the event director.

The musical performances were filmed over two days and broadcast live. “So there was only one brochure during the event,” he said. – We are forced to reveal to viewers how television broadcasts are carried out. During the delivery, we counted every second, the time for speeches was limited to 30 seconds. As a result, the leader also felt uncomfortable, because he had to interrupt the person. “

Each winner was given a different microphone with a new sponge, the producer said.

According to A. Alenskas, to maintain distances, the host of the event stood on one side of the stage and J. Sakalauskas, who presented the awards, on the other. “Viewers may not have realized it, but we have taken these steps to minimize contact,” he said.

“When creating the art program, we adapted to all conditions, but we had to limit our creative ideas quite strongly. But here too the director Gediminas Šeduikis found solutions. Director Ričardas Šumila, who created the musical concept for the event, collected works that would be performed by a solo soloist or duo. The choreographer Martynas Rimeikis also created his choreographic composition for a single performer. Of course, we also made special instruments for the orchestra. The orchestra was reduced to a chamber composition ”, he said.

Representatives of the Ministry did not participate in the broadcast of the ceremony. The Minister virtually greeted the theaters, said A. Alenskas.

TV3 expressed regret

On Monday afternoon, TV3 issued a public announcement apologizing for the MAMA awards that took place on Saturday night and saying that the organizers did not control the situation.

“During these pandemic years, we have actively promoted responsible human behavior. Together, we have worked to ensure that in these difficult times, viewers have at least a small opportunity to brighten up their sad routines and enjoy life.

We organize projects like “Easter from home”, “Compliance action”, “I really love Lithuania”, “Lithuanian honor” and others by ourselves or with producers. Not only have they always complied with the quarantine requirements, but viewers have been motivated to do so.

For 10 years, MAMA organizers have been organizing awards, guests, filming and the final broadcast signal that television receives. Unfortunately, this Saturday, the MAMA organizers did not control the moments that happened and they disappointed both us and part of the public. We regret this event and hope to find the strength to forgive the mistakes of others and overcome the difficult situation of the pandemic. ” published in a message sent to the media.

The Minister of Culture also commented on the situation.

The Minister of Culture, Simonas Kairys, does not hide the disappointment that the MAMA awards on Saturday damaged the image of the events in this difficult pandemic, when ways are sought for the cultural and entertainment sectors to work again.

“Unfortunately, the MAMA awards have not created greater mutual trust,” he laments.

The Minister received a lot of criticism not only from the organizers, but also from the guests at the event.

MAMA’s Minister of Culture spoke on Facebook on Sunday. He stressed that this is a bad example that “should not become a cause and an obstacle to the opening of more culture.”
