It is reported that a man of honorable age died a natural death, alongside him in the last moments of his life were his wife Elaine and daughter Krystal.

“Elgin was the love and best friend of my life,” Baylor’s wife said. “Like everyone else, I saw his infinite courage, dignity and love for basketball fans.”

Baylor is considered one of the best basketball players of all time, he has played in All Star games 11 times.

In 1958-71, his basketball career continued at the Lakers Club. Baylor’s career averages are impressive: 27.4 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.

Although he played for the Lakers eight times in the NBA Finals, he never became a champion.

Baylor still holds the NBA Finals record of 61 points for the Boston Celtics in 1962.

Baylor scored 71 points for the New York Knicks in the 1960s, the Lakers’ most productive performance until 2006, when Kobe Bryant scored 81 points.

After his glorious career, Baylor worked for a long time as the general manager of the Los Angeles Clippers. He held this position from 1986 to 2009.
