Judging by the agenda, G. Nausėda did not even plan to participate in the international forum on foreign policy, but his name was mentioned in the event’s program: a congratulatory speech from the head of state. However, both at the Login conference and at the Lublin Quartet: Idea and Reality forum, her advisers took their word for it.
“Dear organizers and participants of the Login conference, we meet for the fourteenth time in an event in which everything is focused on progress: technology, business, science, creativity. This is where the people who are creating the future of Lithuania and the world are located, the leaders of our progress: innovative, broad-minded and forward-thinking leaders, the best experts in their fields.
Looking at you, I am not at all surprised that the digital economy has grown three times faster than the entire Lithuanian economy in the last four years. It is not surprising that our education system has been able to move to a remote space in two weeks in the face of serious challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic created the conditions to achieve what previously seemed to be overcome only in the long term “, – speech by G. Nausėda, circulated by the Presidency, Read his advisor Vaida Česnulevičiūtė during the login conference.
In his speech, the president also welcomed the formation of the educational technology community in Lithuania, and we can use the COVID-19 crisis to try to make a breakthrough in the field of technology, especially in the public sector. .

“I am glad that today we are opening a regional forum of intellectuals from four countries: Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Belarus. With this multilateral initiative, Vilnius continues the deep traditions of historians and intellectuals in the region. The very title of the forum, Lublin Quartet: Idea and Reality, perfectly reflects the challenge of the participants: what is the Lublin Quartet, why are we discussing this today?
Lithuania and Poland have already implemented their most important geopolitical tasks, that is, integration into the space of Western civilization, and are full members of the European Union and NATO.
Ukraine, having chosen the leadership of its country, is actively pursuing Euro-Atlantic integration and at the same time experiencing Russian aggression in the east and the current occupation of Crimea.
Today the eyes of all of us are on neighboring Belarus. The determination and peaceful protest of its people against the brutal dictatorship is a unique phenomenon in Europe, worthy of admiration and full support. The events in Belarus following the rigged presidential elections deeply concern us both about the regime’s violence against its citizens, who want to express their will freely, and about Russia’s constant efforts to interfere in the country’s internal affairs and future development.
Can we, different nations, draw the guidelines for future regional cooperation based on our past? Do we have more connections or divisions? Can the Lublin Quartet be a platform for political, economic and social cooperation? Can the common past of our four nations be an integrating factor? “TO. Skaisgirytė relayed the president’s deliberations.
G. Nausėda’s spokesperson, Antanas Bubnelis, stated that the country’s head’s agenda had changed and that is why he did not attend the Login conference. And participation in the forum, according to the representative, is not even planned.
“When the agenda changed, the president did not attend the opening of the session conference and his greeting was read by the president’s advisor. And the historic forum did not have the participation of the president. There was also a welcoming speech from your advisor ” 15 minutes noted A. Bubnelis.
When organizing the forum “Lublin Four: Idea and Reality”, the Presidency made proposals for its moderators: A.Bubnelis did not deny that the services of journalists Rimvydas Valatka and Vytautas Bruveris were denied at the request of the Presidency.
