Former Health Minister Dobrovolski dies

This was confirmed by Bird Algirdas Basevičius, president of the Lithuanian Association of Radiologists.

Violeta Budrienė, a doctor, told the lrt.lt portal that her relatives found KR Dobrovolskis at her home on Wednesday morning.

KR Dobrovolskis was born on December 25, 1939 in Radviliškis. He studied at Telšiai Žemaitė High School, after graduation he entered the Vilnius University Medical Faculty, graduating in 1963 and specializing in radiology. Since then, he has worked in various hospitals in Lithuania.

From 1993 to 2005 he was director of the Radiology Center of Vilnius University Santariškės Clinics, from 2001 to 2003 he was Minister of Health.

In 1976, he was elected Executive Secretary of the Lithuanian Society of Radiologists and Radiologists, and in 1990, President of the Lithuanian Association of Radiologists. He held this position until 2006.

Since 2006, KR Dobrovolskis has been the president of the World Association of Lithuanian Radiologists.
