For Zeppelin day: traditional and healthy recipes for a stable meal Food

[ad_1]

“True meat fans of the traditional zeppelin probably won’t change a thing, but those who don’t eat meat have been making curd zeppelins for a long time, and now we have even more variations: Zeppelins with soy, mushrooms and vegetables are conquering our kitchens. The traditional crunchy sauce can also be replaced with a healthier alternative to roasted ginger. Trust me, it will be difficult to tell if you will eat vegetarian pork rinds, “says Vilma Juodkazienė, food expert at retail chain Iki, quoted in the press release.

For a long time, not only zeppelin sauces or fillings, but also potatoes were considered a not very healthy product. Still, they shouldn’t be ruled out. According to V. Juodkazienė, potatoes are rich in substances beneficial to health, and the most important aspect that determines their absorption is the method of preparation.

“Boil the potatoes in water or bake, the most important thing is not to use fat. If you fry a large amount of oil in the potatoes, it will do more harm than good, because it is the fat, not the potatoes, that makes you fat. you have to fear the starch in potatoes, which turns into sugar in the body, just enjoy it in moderation ”, advises V. Juodkazienė.

On the occasion of World Zeppelin Day, a food expert offers to make healthy zeppelins and presents two original recipes.

Zeppelins with soy and vegetarian “crackling” sauce

Ingredients:

  • 10 raw and 3 boiled potatoes;

  • 2 onions

  • you go out;
  • Pepper.

Doing:

Mash the boiled potatoes and add to the total mass, salt and knead well. At this time of year, potatoes have enough starch, but if there are younger or less starchy potatoes, add more.

2. Sauté an onion for the filling, put soy soaked in water in the pan (follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the label), salt, add pepper and fry a little.

3. Take some potato dough, spread in the palm of your hand, place the filling in the center, fold the cake in half, squeeze and form zeppelins.

4. Place the formed zeppelins in boiling salted water, cook for about 20-25 minutes. It is very important that the pot is large – the zeppelins should enjoy the cooking process freely.

5. Cut the ginger into small squares so that they have the shape of a crunchy. Preheat ghee butter, fry the ginger, then add the onion and fry until it turns golden. Spice with salt and pepper. Serve the zeppelins with ginger sauce and low-fat yogurt.
