For couriers: the business year itself – the number of packages in some places already significantly exceeds the level of Christmas last year.

Despite the increase in loads, shipments, according to him, are delivered in the usual way: about 98% are delivered the next day.

“So far, everything is going normally, because we were preparing for it after the end of the first quarantine,” says T. Vaišvila.

At the time, Simonas Bielskis, the director of Omniva LT, says he is still seeing trends similar to the usual ones.

“The flow of packages grew 10%. compared to October, but there is definitely not a jump like the one we saw during the first quarantine, ”says S. Bielskis.

According to him, already at the beginning of the month the company started looking for new employees for the holiday period.

“Compared to the summer months, we will have more than 200 additional employees. Compared to the beginning of the year, the number will be more than 3 times higher, we will have around 500 employees,” says the director of Omniva LT.

“Most of the additional employees will have fixed-term contracts until the last day of the year, but some of the additional employees will be permanent members of our team,” he explains.

According to S. Bielskis, the amount of remuneration of couriers depends on the functions they perform, for which region they work, as well as on the quality of the services provided.

According to S. Bielskis, 20 additional collection stations have now been installed in both large and smaller cities. The stops will last until the end of the year and, if necessary, in January.
