Starting in the New Year, Gediminas Norkūnas will assume the position of Deputy Minister, who will be in charge of budget, treasury and administration of state property, and will be responsible for the administration group of the public financial system. Until now, G. Norkūnas has worked for a long time in the State Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance, represented the Ministry on the Board of Trustees of the UAB Investicijų ir verslo garantijos and on the Supervisory Board of Lietuvos Energija (now Ignitis). Most recently, he worked for an international company with Lithuanian capital with financing of renewable energy projects and treasury management.
Rūta Bilkštytė
Deputy Minister Rūta Bilkštytė, who has more than 30 years of experience in the field of taxation, will oversee matters of tax policy, reporting, auditing, property valuation and insolvency policy, as well as the Internal Audit and Control Methodology Group . Until now, R. Bilkštytė has worked for the State Tax Inspectorate (STI) and founded and led the tax department for a long time in an international company. Most recently, R. Bilkštytė has been a director of the Lithuanian Tax Advisors Association and has advised foreign investors, business companies and residents on tax matters.

By order of the minister, Vice Minister Mindaugas Liutvinskas, who will take office on January 1, will be responsible for financial policy, the European Union (EU) and international relations. Before assuming the post of Deputy Minister, Mr. Liutvinskas worked at the Bank of Lithuania as Head of the Economic Policy Analysis Division of the International Relations Department and was responsible for the EU and international financial institutions. Before joining the Bank of Lithuania, M. Liutvinskas worked at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, in the team of G. Landsbergis.
Vaida Česnulevičiūtė
Deputy Minister Vaida Česnulevičiūtė will oversee investment policy and financial market issues. Most recently, she worked as an advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania on economic and innovation issues. After obtaining the qualification of lawyer, V. Česnulevičiūtė has worked in the field of business, economics and finance for more than 10 years, both in Lithuania and in London, Brussels and Frankfurt. He worked at the Office of the Financial Mechanism in Brussels in the field of public investment and international support. Subsequently, the Bank of Lithuania worked on the implementation of a bank resolution system in Lithuania, aimed at preventing chaotic bank failures. Trained at the European Central Bank.
Advisers to Minister G. Skaistė will also start working in the Ministry of Finance: he has worked in the Ministry of Finance for 19 years, and in 2016-2020. Darius Sadeckas, former Minister of Finance, former project manager of one of the National Development Institutions (NEP), Fintech consultant and Gytis Žakevičius, project manager of the Invest in Lithuania program, and Public Relations Advisor Hermantė Brandišauskaitė, who worked for Seimas Homeland Union for five years. – Communication from the Lithuanian Christian Democrat faction (TS-LKD), former spokesperson and advisor to Seimas member Ingrida Šimonytė.
