“We are unequivocally negative about every statement that completely denies science, especially in the current situation, when we have a large number of COVID-19 cases,” said Justina Petravičienė, spokeswoman for the National Center for Public Health (NVSC).

“We hear from doctors and scientists that the vaccine is the only way out of the quarantine regime. Therefore, we hope and ask everyone to publish information that is based on science and evidence,” he noted.

The Labor leader MEP Uspaskich has published on the social network Facebook that the water “will help build immunity against COVID-19 and will help those who are already sick” and will announce the possibility of requesting it.

Vytautas Kasiulevičius, deputy dean of the Vilnius University Medical Faculty, called this step “nonsense that does not help to improve the situation.”
