Night at the mill
“Old Mill”, Kedainiai district.
The Old Mill is a rural tourism estate located on the territory of the former Bartkūniškis mansion. This water mill was built in 1881. on the left bank of the Šušvė, about 500 meters west of the Bartkūniškis mansion.
The construction date of the mill is evidenced by the year carved in the foundation stone. Experts believe that the current one, 1881. the mill could be built by church masons. Stone masonry is masonry carefully, keeping all corners, which is not characteristic of agricultural constructions. In addition, two black volcanic stones are built on the façade of the mill, one of the oldest in the world.
2001 February 13 the old mill (site – sauna) was bought by the current owners Lena and Viktoras Gaurilčikai. The building was reborn as a rural tourism house.

Ginučiai water mill is protected by the state as a nineteenth century. technical monument. In the northern part of the building there is an exhibition of the mill museum, and in the southern part, double rooms with amenities. They can accommodate up to 8 people.
In the cozy kitchen you can prepare your own food or dine in the cafes that operate in the village of Ginučiai. The mill has a sauna, where you can cool off in the Srovė river or under the waterfall after heating up. Boats can be hired from the property to explore the park’s lakes or go fishing.

Užventis Solar Mill, Kelmė District, Užventis
Historical sources mention it as early as 1759. There was a mill on the Venta river and a brewery in Užventis. The Užvenčio Water Mill and Distillery Building is one of the surviving buildings on the territory of the former Užvenčio manor house. The water mill is built in a picturesque stately park, on the Venta river. The soaked willows in the branches of the Venta pond still remind us of the writer Šatrija Ragana, who lived and worked here.
Today, the Užvenčio water mill perfectly combines an honorable history with a pleasant present. The old restored turbine generates electricity again and the restored mill rooms await the banquet guests. The mill is equipped with a wellness complex with swimming pool, sauna and gym. There is also a hotel and a conference room. Today, the mill is especially popular with art people. Lithuanian and foreign artists often visit and create here, exhibitions and concerts take place. Not only the body, but also the soul finds a refreshment in the atmosphere of the mill.

Today, religious and secular life is in full swing in the monastery and church, created by Italian masters.
