The Council will be briefed on the situation for Belarus by Arciomas Šraibman, independent analyst from Minsk, Jens Modvig, head of the International Accountability Platform for Belarus, Viktorija Fiodorova by Anna Maria Dyner, policy analyst at the International Commission on Torture in Belarus and the Polish Institute of Foreign Relations.
Friday’s session is backed by 32 states, more than ever. These include various members of the Security Council and other UN member states.
