“2 weeks.

When I have to get used to the new state: mother of two children. Time runs again at the speed of morning and evening. Although those weeks of pregnancy flew by very quickly, the last 7 days lasted like an eternity, because the baby decided not to rush into this coronary world.

That past week, from very early in the morning, I opened the door of the Vilnius Maternity Home Consulting Department, still joking with unreal employees that “not yet” and this morning I am here again.

But at the end of a long week on Sunday, it was already clear that 08/03/2021 would be a special day for our family. And that night I had a ceru feeling when I was cared for by a doctor as a mother throughout the entire pregnancy journey. Kornelija Mačiulienė and when I opened the door of the same birthplace, I also saw the midwife Dalia and those calm eyes, I knew everything would be fine. And there it was.

Perhaps only the first cry sounded louder, because right at that moment the other birthplaces were empty. Or maybe the kid is louder anyway. Let’s see. And today I want to thank very strongly the Vilnius Maternity Home for that feeling of home, for the professionalism, for the absolutely wonderful care and the entire birth experience.

Thanks to prof. Dr. A Cornelia Mačiulienė and the midwife Dalia. Thanks to the longer midwives who visited us in the postpartum ward Olija, Aida and their partners. To neonatologists Rolandas Girdėnienė, Vladimir Chijen.

To the doctor Kęstutis Šklėri for a good dose of vitamin C. And many thanks to the midwife, breastfeeding consultant Ieva Girdvainienė.

You come out of that VGN bubble and then you realize that going is where reality will begin.

And I would say that reality is not as scary as it seemed in preparation for it. Because I know that every day those little feet grow and change, and we just need to keep growing together ”, E. Daugėlaitė-Kryževičienė shared her experience.
