Dust: We no longer have a single municipality where the situation is good, there is a red light on everywhere

“We no longer have a single municipality where the situation is good. There are no more traffic lights and red lights are on everywhere. In the near future, depending on how the dynamic plays out, it seems like we’ll have to think of at least 500 additional beds. Beds sound good, but our medical communities and professionals must support them. This will be the big question here, “said A. Dulkys.

According to him, the activities of the National Center for Public Health will be reviewed in the near future.

“We need to change a certain paradigm and some working principles that will help us identify and isolate more quickly so that we can stop the chain of cases,” Dulkys said.

According to the minister, the NVSC is currently unable to trace contacts for a couple of days.

“You have to stop working, which makes no sense if you are looking for contacts when those people have already infected others. We are talking about the third or fifth day after infection, then the work loses meaning. We have to implement these working methods to be proactive in the first 48 hours ”, said the Minister.

The Cabinet of Ministers headed by Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extended the quarantine until January 31 on Sunday.
