Therefore, the Vilnius City District Court judges had to hear the case not only for driving under the influence of alcohol, but also because Anatolijus D. posed a risk of coronavirus infection for other people. The man did not deny his guilt, adding that he was prompted by alcohol to do so.

Having evaluated all the evidence gathered, the court found Anatoly D. guilty of both charges.

The man said that he works, plays sports, lives alone, is not condemned. You don’t often drink alcohol, but if you do drink, you drink large amounts of alcohol in a day. He started drinking that day at 2pm and I drank a 0.7 liter bottle of wine.

The witness questioned during the pre-trial investigation said that he was driving on Steponas Darius and Stasis Girėno streets in Vilnius that night. When he pulled up at the intersection, a silver Chrysler car pulled up nearby.
