Truck drivers lament that business representatives often don’t think about the safety of snowy and slippery slopes when stuck in the winter.
Many companies have warehouses in the old base of operations on the outskirts of Panevėžys. The chargers load and unload a wide range of cargo, one after another, on a daily basis. The accident occurred in a closed warehouse. In the morning, the police received a call that a man was trapped between heavy vehicles.
“The truck was stuck in the snow and another truck came to help him, trying to get him out. At that moment, the car crushed the man,” says a police representative Tadas Martinaitis.

“Compared to 2019 and 2020, the number of minor and accidental accidents has decreased, perhaps due to the fact that many employees work remotely. However, the number of deaths and accidents has increased,” says labor inspector Vaidas Pauliukas.
The fact that Lithuanians still do not pay attention to safety at work and do not save their lives can be seen in the image captured by Vilnius residents: men climbing on the roof of an apartment building, clearing the snow and one clinging without fear of the balcony ceiling without harnesses.
