Doctors used the illness of the daughter of Zarasietė to shake hands: now it is addressed to all the people of Lithuania

Guste is an early girl, she was born two months early. According to her mother, Lina Šamšonienė, there were no warning signs during her pregnancy until the seventh month that the girl she was expecting could arrive earlier.

“There were no warnings, everything was fine until the seventh month, when I went to check for a regular inspection. Turns out there was an increase in pressure. The doctors sent me to Vilnius, where I stayed in the hospital for seven days, and then I cried for myself. I myself had to give birth with a very high blood pressure: 170/120. The doctors took a great risk. He tried to relieve that pressure for 30 hours, to no avail. “

After giving birth, Lina was admitted to the intensive care unit, and as soon as she was born, Gustė slipped into a coma.

Rehabilitation: only after changing doctors.

Gustė recently began to sit on her own, the girl could not do it in the past, nor did she turn around. It is now known that he has cerebral palsy. Unfortunately, for a long time the girl’s family did not know.

Lina believes that the girl’s first year of life was unnecessarily wasted in terms of treatment. The local doctor kept repeating the need for specialized tests to detect early disease, but Lina had to cope with referrals for such tests:

“I used to go home to register as a newborn. I asked him for rehabilitation for the boy because I had already seen something wrong. I said, “My son is two years old, he does not walk, he does not sit, he does not even try to sit and he does not drink.” He kept repeating to watch.

Anyway, I required that he write a reference to determine disability. I heard there may be cerebral palsy and having a child goes through free rehab twice a year. Then I discovered that I lacked patience and I wrote to my daughter to another doctor in Utena ”.

Mom doesn’t hide her gratitude to Gust G’s new doctor. Since August, thanks to the doctor’s concern, the girl has already been able to go to rehabilitation on two occasions.

According to Lina, only thanks to her daughter’s exercises, massages and other procedures, Gustė can now sit up. The mother’s biggest dream now is for her daughter to start walking, which requires further rehabilitation and home improvements.

The disease does not prevent interest in everything.

Mother Lina says that Guste is a very curious girl, interested in movies, toys, the world around her, she wants to try everything herself, but according to her mother she also has her own taste:

“I’m interested in movies, but not everyone. He likes to see Masha and the Bear and he also likes Tom and Jerry. In rehab, for some reason, he didn’t like the salt room very much, he was afraid of something, apparently , you can’t see the videos shown in the salt room. “

From the money donated by good people, Lina plans to buy her daughter workout books and a gym ball so that she can start exercising at home, they will help relax Guste’s tense muscles.

All money is given to Guste

Although the family cannot boast of wealth, Lina loves that all the free money is used for the well-being of her daughter:

“Currently we are buying an apartment to have ours, we dedicate most of it to the apartment, it is old: the windows and doors are old, everything will have to be changed, so most of the money goes to it. It is still cold, the windows are open, but we are gluing in. Little by little we put the apartment in order, we put together a laminate in the room where we usually stay, we still want to live more comfortably.

We also have glasses when we buy Guste, we are already trying to do everything for the child. Now that we can, we will buy balls on which to perform the exercises that the physiotherapist taught us. When the books are dedicated, I’ll show you all kinds of videos on the phone anyway. “

Lina says she has been hesitant for a while to seek help and support from a Facebook group that has more mothers raising children with serious illnesses. However, encouraged by other mothers from similar fates, Lina shared her daughter’s story, hoping that her lovingly named Gustytė could live better.

“I would advise him not to give up, that my son do his best, I am as much as I tried with the doctor, as much as I struggled,” Lina encourages the other mother. A woman’s beliefs should be based on her intuition and therefore her son to fight only for the best.
