The story that began with the disappearance of the dog Snow turned into a criminal detective.

In the village of Padvariai, district of Kretinga, the West Scottish Terrier puppy Sniegius has disappeared. The owners of the quartet and their friends did not give up, they were looking for a pet in the area. And they found … When they heard the barking in one of the buildings, they saw Snow captured in a cage through the window.

Calling the police revealed that the building housed dogs of various breeds in cramped cages, but the conditions were clearly unsuitable: hungry and thirsty animals lay in urine and feces in the cages, the building lacked air and light, and some seemed sick.

A woman who imprisoned these four-legged people appeared at the scene (name and surname known to the editorial board)He claimed to have found the puppy and wanted to search for its owners the next day. However, all the circumstances pose a more likely version: a woman is engaged in the illegal breeding and sale of dogs and possibly even steals breeding dogs for these purposes.

41 dogs were brought to Nuara

Two other hangars adapted for the “business” of women were found, in which dogs were found again, kept in cages, in unsanitary conditions, without supervision and believed to be prepared for a new mating, so that the pups could then be sold as breeding dogs.

Several advertisements of puppies suspected of being sold by this woman have also been found on the Internet: the price of the different four-legged breeds ranges from a few hundred to thousands of euros. With the discovery of hangars, advertisements began to disappear instantly from all sales portals.

The result of the animal rescue operation carried out before dawn was the rescue of 33 dogs of different breeds and ages, as well as 8 newborn puppies. Currently all are housed in Nuare: they are examined by veterinarians and their state of health is evaluated.

According to the police investigation, it is likely that the rescued puppies could be taken in by people, but so far Nuaras is asking for support for the shelter with food, leaving it at the door of the building.

In the wake of the scandal, a public group “Save the Animals from Hell” was formed on Facebook. Here’s information on where stolen and illegally bred dogs can be kept.

Call not to buy animals without documents

Saturday morning People.lt When interviewed, Deimantė answered the phone while she was back on the road – she said the story was not over yet, because she was receiving more and more messages and new testimonies from indifferent people.

“I get a lot of messages so we keep looking for other places, trying to find out all this detective and find where there might be more animals,” he said.

The founder of the Lithuania Foundation for Animals does not hide her shock, so she will do everything possible to prevent the woman suspected of illegal breeding from engaging in this activity. Diamond also encourages people who want to buy a pet to do so responsibly, because otherwise, it encourages illegal kennels where animals are tortured in cruel conditions.

“Folks, if you decide to buy a puppy or kitten, make sure you choose an animal with documents, from kennels that are inspected and supervised by special services, and not from people like this. You think you are buying a farm animal, but you don’t even know how it lived. By buying from an unofficial kennel, you support those illegal vendors who consider the animals in dire conditions, ”said D. Guobytė.
