“Our ministers are talking about a ‘final decision.’ Like the Nazis. It seems to me that this is not a decent relationship with the citizens of my state. One may disagree with their position, but after all, they have their arguments and the logic of life.
Why was it necessary to communicate with the public only through certain media, which is already becoming a government newspaper? I see a big problem here. And people feel that they are not treated with respect, as citizens with a different opinion. They are treated like children who will be forced to think correctly.
Here the philosopher Alvydas Jokubaitis reproached the government for the lack of dialogue and immediately received a slap in the face from Rimvydas Valatka: that the philosophers in Lithuania should be silent. They can question the existence or meaning of God, but they have no right to question the correctness of party and government decisions. “
