This behavior of a Klaipeda citizen caused great dissatisfaction among those around him. When the car passed by the monument in the Sculpture Park, it was accompanied by angry comments, beeps from other cars, and the pedestrians did not suffer and showed obscene gestures to turn.
“I cannot see these people quietly celebrating. After all, this is a day of mourning, because the war in Lithuania did not end on May 9. That is why I have decorated the tricolor with a black ribbon.” Delphi the man admitted.
If it weren’t for this “jump” by Klaipeda residents, the flowers were gently placed near the monument.
Unauthorized event
Although city authorities did not issue a permit for the event, no one prohibited them from coming to help the flowers.
A police officer on duty next to the park explained that the most important thing was for the townspeople to maintain a safe social distance, wear masks, and not gather. “It just came to our attention then. So here too. There is no rally, people are constantly changing. He comes, puts flowers, stays for a few minutes and leaves,” said the police officer.
A slightly larger platoon was formed when an Orthodox priest prayed for the dead and when diplomats from the Russian Federation arrived. When the latter got off the bus, the policeman immediately warned him not to speak and tried not to stay for long. These duly took into account the official’s comments. The very appearance of the consul general in Klaipėda, Aleksandras Gračiovas with his entourage, caused a bit of a stir. People began stalking diplomats, wanting to take photos and communicate with them. However, A. Gračiovas did not stay at the monument. His visit lasted less than 10 minutes.
Fool’s party?
And the Klaipeda people wearing carnations went to the monument all day. Some of them wore so-called “koloradkes”, one even adorned the bicycle with the flag of the Russian Federation.
Writer Viktor Suvorov said in an interview a few days ago: “May 9 is a celebration of fools and criminals. One of the perpetrators of the war, the Soviet Union, had already rotted and collapsed. It is immoral to celebrate that day. But if you’re already celebrating, let’s remember everything. Where did the war start? Not in the Reich chancellery, but in the Kremlin, where friend Molotov and von Ribbentrop signed a non-aggression pact. This was the actual beginning of World War II. A week after Hitler’s Germany invaded Poland, the war began. Then the Soviet Union joined the war, and on September 22 of the same year. Generals Krivoshein and Guderian accepted the parade of victory against Poland in Brest. Why not celebrate victory over Poland? For some reason, the war has only been remembered since 1941. June 22, when we were attacked. Let’s remember the year until then. The Soviet Union as early as 1939. It fought in Finland, Germany – Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg. So the Soviets fought in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in Bessarabia. Note that all the western neighbors were attacked. But those facts are forgotten. And when we have been attacked, it is already bad, it is already the beginning of the war. That is why the term “Great Patriotic War” was coined for fools in order to hide their crimes. Until the Russians confess our crimes, there will be nothing good in our country (Russia). “
