At the Kaunas Regional Court, which was discussing the circumstances of the high-profile murder committed in Romainiai, near the Aibė store, his former friend, together with the murderer, gave favorable evidence to the accused.

He didn’t dive into the bushes right away.

At this week’s hearing, another friend of the deceased was questioned, who was asked by the former Mantas B. along with the murderer to lie to law enforcement, even though he was with them. And, as it turned out, at a time when doctors were still fighting for the life of their friend wounded with a knife.

“It was terrible for me alone,” said the deceased, both then and in court, who betrayed Mantas B. And, perhaps, in this sentence, the whole point.

At this week’s court hearing, Audrius Norkūnas’ cousin, who is accused of murder, also gave a statement, and then was with him and helped the accused leave the crime scene. A woman fighter: this is how one of the participants in this trial described her after the hearing.

“Kauno diena” wrote that this conflict, which ended in tragedy, during which Juozas Gineika, 29, was stabbed, took place on July 17 of last year. Kaunas police and ambulance medics were notified of this event on Romaini calle street at 11 pm Paramedics discovered J. Gineika unconscious. I was already in shock from the bleeding.

A.Norkūnas, six years older than his victim, was detained for less than two days at his home in Vilijampolė, Varnių street. I couldn’t find an assassination tool alone.

An eloquent observation

After the accusation was announced at the last hearing, A. Norkūnas declared that he admits his guilt: he killed accidentally, out of fear. However, you will testify only after questioning all witnesses. You agree to indemnify for all losses. And I am very sorry for the victims.

They are the parents and both sisters of the deceased, whose total amount of moral compensation requested is 135 thousand. euros.

If the defendant really only wanted to defend himself, just one prick would have been enough. Upon reaching the car, he was able to get in and drive. However, he returned with a knife in hand.

Only the young Gabrielė found the strength to reach the last meeting. He assured that during the last summer of his life, his brother, who lived with his older sister in Romainiai, near the scene of the tragedy, was not only a non-conflictive man, but also reconciled others. In addition, he did not abuse alcohol, he did not use drugs.

And when A.Norkūnas’ lawyer, Ramūnas Putinas, asked why his brother rushed to beat the man, even broke his collarbone, the deceased’s sister replied that he had to be told something or that he was defending a friend, which always toward. In a word, it was provoked. And then came the late sister’s counterattack: “If the defendant really wanted to defend himself, just one stab would have been enough. Although he was able to get into the car, he was able to get in and drive away. However, he came back with a knife in his hand.”

A performance of the absurd

At the court hearing this week, it was clear that the tactic chosen by A. Norkūnas paid off, because Mantas B., who was together with the murderer, as well as other witnesses, swore in court that he would tell the truth and would not keep silence, he said he could not say anything because he saw almost nothing. .

And A.Norkūnas’ partner, who may not have testified in his case, but did, asserted that before seizing the knife, the defendant did not give a single blow to J.Gineika, who attacked him. And if the defendant had not remembered that there was, as intentionally, a kitchen knife donated by his mother that day on the door of the car where he was kicked, he would have killed himself.

Manto B.’s initial testimony in court sounded absurd. “We went out for a walk with Juozas, there was a conflict, then a riot and he died. Later I learned from the media that he had been stabbed,” said the witness, adding that when Juoz and the accused fell asleep during their stay, he wanted to point them out. but they failed, because they stood up. The defendant allegedly sat in the car and drove away, and Juozas began to bleed from his leg. He then ran to a nearby house to pick up the phone. And when he returned to the scene by car, the blood came out of the mouth of Juozas, who was already surrounded by other drivers who had called him to the ambulance. And he left the wounded at the scene and went to a meeting with the other two friends at a gas station on Raudondvaris Street. These same men, after what happened, called there and asked one of them to tell the police that they were also together and that they had been attacked by a stranger. He then returned to the scene with a drunken friend who agreed to help him.

According to Manto B., the two were sober with Juozas. However, things happened so fast that there is nothing to say. And besides, it was all so long ago that he no longer remembers everything.

Night bushido

Kristina B., A.Norkūnas’ partner, who is on trial for the murder of J.Gineika, remembered everything perfectly. And the fact that her friend was sober at the time of the incident, although the prosecution states that she stabbed J. Guinea twice with a knife while drunk. It struck in the left leg and chest, puncturing a lung, killing the casualty at the scene from acute bleeding.

According to Kristina B., by the way, who also swore to tell the truth, her partner had been drinking beer only that morning. And only one can. And they stopped at Romainiai “Aibė” because they got lost while going with their roommate’s friend. And the roommate has always wanted to go to the bathroom.

According to Kristina B., if she had not intervened and if they and their roommate had not forgotten the donated knife on the car door, the latter’s son would have been killed. (Photo by Vilmantas Raupelis)

When he came out, two strangers suddenly appeared from somewhere. For them, the question of what are you doing here, the roommate did not answer at first. Then J. Gineika slapped him across the face. The attacker wanted to respond at the same time, but the musician avoided the blow. And soon the roommate was already on the floor.

According to Kristina B., she then jumped out of the car because both the attacker and her friend started kicking the one she hit. She pulled the latter aside and then saw her friend jump on the roommate’s head. When he grabbed him by the hood, the roommate said, “What did you do? You broke my arm!” At that moment, he was hit again by the second of the strangers, after which he escaped. And soon she saw a fountain of blood gushing from the roommate of another stranger who had beaten a partner. After that, at the urging of the roommate, she got in the car and they left. About the fact that he stabbed the assailant with a kitchen knife that his mother gave them that day, which he had forgotten in the car door without even taking it out of the bag, the roommate told him while he was driving. And she threw this knife into the fields 500 meters from the scene, without even stopping the car.

Cucumber shadow

The mother of A. Norkūnas, who is also included in the witness lists in this case, wrote a statement in which she states that she is exercising her right not to testify in the case of her son, so she will not appear in court. . But you will have to say so in court.

None of the victims were present at this week’s hearing. According to the lawyer representing them, this is too difficult for them.

A friend of A.Norkūnas, whom he allegedly went to borrow money, could not be summoned to this week’s meeting. This person, who is one of the most famous cucumber figures to be released, is being tried together with A. Norkūnas in another case that is being processed in the same Kaunas Regional Court for extortion of high value goods. Initially, A. Norkūnas was also arrested in the aforementioned case. However, he was released a few months later for leniency. The extortion case was handed over to the court two weeks after the murder in Romainiai.

The aforementioned representative of Pepinos has already been convicted of a similar crime, along with Deimantas Bugavičius, a former security guard of their leader Saulius Velečka, who was shot in November 2015.

Before the murder in Romainiai, A. Norkūnas had already been convicted ten times. Eight – in Lithuania. For theft, robbery, public nuisance and minor damage to health. Once again, in Denmark and the Netherlands for theft.

According to the defendant in the murder of J. Gineika, A. Norkūnas faces a prison term of seven to fifteen years. His partner was not charged with concealing a possible crime. The article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania, which provides for prison sentences of up to two years, establishes that close relatives and relatives of the offender are not responsible for this crime. The latter also include partners.
