It is now managed through a variety of means, which include minimizing contact, including remote trials, disinfecting premises, vehicles, monitoring the health of convicts and staff, wearing masks, isolating people in contact with patients, testing them, and conducting periodic and preventive tests. ” – says Birutė Semėnaitė, Head of the Division of Health Care of the Department of Prisons.
According to the representative of the Department of Prisons responsible for medical care, the working hours of the employees in the prison during the pandemic are set in such a way that the least possible contact between the employees is guaranteed and shift work is organized.
