A total of 8 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the district, according to the mayor. Two of them are related to Raseiniai Šaltinis progymnasium, where sisters – third and fifth grade – and COVID-19 were infected, and with the “Saulutė” kindergarten. Here the disease is found by educators.
“The facilities were disinfected over the weekend, the people involved were isolated, I mean both the kindergarten and the school. The Public Health Center and the office work hard to inform the contact persons,” said A Bautronis.
The class, where the third grader is studying, has been working remotely since last week, according to the mayor.
“We have already spent on distance education only by intuition, with suspicion. We stopped contacting education, ”said the mayor.
In kindergarten, according to him, the COVID-19 educators were set for Saturday.
“In self-isolation, there is an educator who has been diagnosed with a coronavirus. The contact persons are clarified, education is carried out. The facilities have been disinfected, ”said A. Bautronis.
Other cases of contagion found in the district, according to him, do not refer to educational institutions, but to a family.
