Santarvė has already written that since Monday in a kindergarten group “Eglutė” the educational process is organized remotely. Starting Thursday, distance education also takes place at the Merkeikis Račkauskas gym in Mažeikiai. This decision was made after a gym teacher diagnosed COVID-19.
The National Center for Public Health reported the illness to the gym director on Wednesday. October 26 student fall break begins. For the remaining two days before them, all high school students will study remotely.
After the holidays for a week, education in all Lithuanian schools for students in grades 5-12 and vocational training institutions will take place remotely. Elementary students will return to school after vacation and are not covered by distance education.
The Mažeikiai District Municipality reports that the kindergartens will operate as usual. Non-formal education for children of all ages for two weeks will only take place remotely or, if this is not possible, activities will be temporarily suspended.
