According to the NVSC physician epidemiologist Daiva Razmuvienė, such changes in the outbreak curve are considered serious red flags.

“We finished the summer calendar with trends that everyone would not like. We are in a difficult epidemiological situation. Autumn will not be easy, but we know that it is possible to live next to the virus, only that it will require the concentration, attention and patience of all ”, recalls D. Razmuvienė, urging to vaccinate those who, for one reason or another, have it has not yet done so.

According to experts, autumn, when the summer weather is replaced by cooler, wetter and more meteorological weather, which increases the incidence of colds, will also bring additional difficulties.

“We must be careful with our own health and the health of those around us. We know that the common delta variety in Lithuania is characterized by such symptoms, which are easy to confuse with the symptoms of colds. To be sure, colds will also increase, with such temperature fluctuations. So, in order not to have more trouble, to see signs of stabilization in the outbreak curve, it is impossible to predict even the slightest symptoms. When you feel them, it is necessary to stay at home, perform a test for coronavirus infection, thus protecting yourself, family, colleagues, “says the doctor. epidemiologist Daiva Razmuvienė.
