Santarvė has already written that on Thursday, the National Public Health Center (NVSC) received notifications of five new cases of COVID-19 in the Mažeikiai district. These five cases were reported on Friday to be related to the outbreak in the Mažeikiai district municipality.
According to the NVSC, two of these people are employees of the Municipality, the others are related people. In total, three employees of the Municipality have coronavirus infection.
Among the sick – a student from Mažeikiai “Venta” progymnasium. According to the data reviewed, 42 students and 3 teachers were exposed to high risk.
This is the fourth student to be diagnosed with COVID-19. Previously, coronavirus infection was diagnosed at Gabija Gymnasium and Vyturys Elementary School, but these students did not attend educational institutions during the possible period of infection.
The first case of COVID-19 in a student was diagnosed at the Merkel Račkauskas gym. 75 exposed students and 6 teachers are in compulsory isolation, preventive examinations are organized.
