2,062 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Lithuania on Thursday. Lithuania Statistics publishes these preliminary data.
This is the highest number of new cases per day since the start of the pandemic. The Ministry of Health (SAM) must publish more information at noon.
According to data released by SAM on Thursday, 28,262 people have been infected with COVID-19 in the country since the start of the pandemic, 21,339 remain ill and 6,608 have recovered.
A total of 244 mons died of coronavirus in Lithuania, resulting in 91 infections.
