The case of coronavirus in Klaipėda house with developmental disabilities was detected on October 5. The employee is in self-isolation.

Five more cases were detected at the Republican Hospital in Klaipeda on Wednesday. Five employees of the Sterilization Department fell ill. Eight contact persons were identified at the hospital, examined, but tested negative.
A total of 12 people are ill in Klaipėda county, eleven of them in Klaipėda and one in Palanga.
Of the 12 cases, one person went to Ukraine for work and was in isolation for 14 days after returning, but symptoms appeared a couple of days after the end of self-isolation.
9 patients with Covid-19 are treated in the infectious diseases corpus of the Klaipėda University Hospital.
8 of them patients are treated in the ward, 5 are receiving oxygen therapy. The health conditions of all patients are satisfactory. A patient is being treated in the intensive care unit and is receiving artificial lung ventilation.
