Epidemiologists are concerned about the COVID-19 outbreak in the Klaipėda care center, and about 60 COVID-19 outbreaks have been recorded in nursing homes and care homes since the start of the pandemic, the National Center for Public Health (NVSC).

“A relevant fireplace that has been formed in the care community, which is called” Klaipėda Hope. “On Monday 22 new cases of infection were registered, a total of 56 cases have already been registered in this institution, a large part of which they are residents, the rest are staff, ”Daiva Razmuvienė, Chief Specialist of the NVSC Division of Communicable Disease Management, told the press conference.

According to her, the body is in two buildings, but the infection has affected both.

On Monday, according to an NVSC representative, new cases were registered at ten medical institutions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, almost 30 outbreaks have been registered in healthcare centers. Over 30 – in nursing and supportive care institutions

“However, this is not a small number of 60 institutions in Lithuania, where outbreaks have occurred,” said D. Razmuvienė.

A total of 17 thousand coronaviruses have been confirmed. 453 people, 12 thousand. 283 of them are still ill, 4934 – have recovered. 175 people have died since COVID-19.
