The municipality shared the latest information on the spread of COVID-19 on its Facebook account on Wednesday afternoon:
“Data from the National Public Health Center on COVID-19 cases in Radviliškis district: a total of 107 cases, 95 hospital-related cases (36 employees, 59 patients),” the report read.
The tv3.lt portal recalls that in the morning it was announced that yesterday 7 cases were registered in the Radviliškis Hospital focus and a total of 74 cases were associated with this focus.
It is also reported that the district municipality and the administration since September 24. until October 9. it will work remotely.
A total of 73 cases per day
During yesterday 73 cases were confirmed in Lithuania. Of these, 31 in Kaunas, 22 in Šiauliai, 14 in Vilnius, 3 in Panevėžys, 2 in Marijampolė and 1 in Tauragė counties. 23 people were infected with coronavirus outside of the outbreaks.
3 import cases were confirmed for persons from Belarus, the Russian Federation and the German Federation.
The circumstances of the infection in eight people are currently unknown. Epidemiological studies have shown that people have not been abroad, have not interacted with confirmed cases of COVID-19, but information may change when explaining the routes of infected people if links are found between individual cases.
Yesterday, twelve cases of COVID-19 disease were confirmed in individuals who became infected after contact but not in outbreaks.
Two deaths
Two deaths from COVID-19 infection have also been reported. Two people infected with coronavirus died at the Kaunas Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. This disease has claimed 89 lives in Lithuania.
The dead belonged to the age group 80 to 89 years old and had comorbidities.
One person was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 25 and the other on September 22.
Of the 73 cases, 50 were confirmed in outbreaks
The highest number of cases was registered yesterday at the Šiauliai Republican Hospital. Here 12 cases have been confirmed and 14 cases have already been linked to this approach.
Yesterday 8 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the municipality of Raseiniai. In just a few days, 11 cases have been registered here.
Another 7 cases were registered in the Radviliškis Hospital outbreak and a total of 74 cases are already associated with this outbreak.
Five cases of COVID-19 infection were identified in single-choir musicians. There are 6 cases associated with this fireplace.
At K. Grinius Progymnasium in Kaunas, 4 cases were approved for a class of students. A total of 5 cases are associated with this fireplace.
3 cases were confirmed at Raseiniai Hospital. Here 14 cases have already been registered.
In Raseiniai district, 2 cases were also confirmed in Blinstrubiškės welfare home and Viduklė outpatient clinic.
In the Kupiškis district, 2 cases were registered on a farm and 1 case, confirmed yesterday, is related to a furniture manufacturing company.
In Vilnius County, a secondary case was confirmed in the City Dance outbreak and 17 cases are associated with this outbreak.
A case was confirmed in other hotspots in Vilnius County: hockey training, a transport company and a payment processing company.
NVSC reports that a total of 3,932 cases of the COVID-19 disease have been confirmed in Lithuania, 1,581 people are still ill, 2,246 – have recovered.
