“We require that we do tests, but we refuse to do so. Something incomprehensible is happening here: people are simply left at home, the center is closed and nothing is investigated, ”said the woman from the Minnesota Center.

According to Edita, the person who contacted the patient infected with COVID-19 spent the whole day with the other patients.

“There were 25 people on the detox floor where the virus was found. Now everyone has traveled home by public transport and we don’t know what to do. After all, everyone can get it, ”said the woman, assuring that she had no intention of leaving the Addiction Center even if it was closed.

Patients ‘informed about isolation’

The National Public Health Center (NVSC) confirmed Sunday that the coronavirus (COVID-19) had been confirmed at the Addiction Center (RPLC) for a person associated with the facility. He identified 29 high-risk people.

“Everyone knows about mandatory isolation,” we said in a statement.

It is stated that NVSC specialists are currently in contact with patients who have had contact at the institution, and they are also informed about the requirements they must meet.

“For its part, the NVSC instructed the center to evaluate the residence conditions of each person discharged from the medical institution, that is, to determine if they meet the requirements of the isolation regulations. In the event that the person released from the medical institution does not have the conditions to isolate herself at home, it was agreed that the medical institution will request the municipality to assign isolation premises ”, says the report.

However, Edita, a patient at the Center, was outraged that two days had passed since the detection and, during that time, the virus could have spread further.

“I think we all had to get tested, but they told us it wasn’t necessary,” the woman said.

Isolation – Vilnius Psychiatric Clinic

According to her, the infected patient was brought from the Vilnius Psychiatric Hospital. This was confirmed by the Center.

“People who have been in contact with an infected person at the Vilnius Republican Psychiatric Hospital have also been identified and isolated.

Those people who were not contacted by professionals were not considered at risk. This means that they, like all Lithuanians, have to monitor their health and follow the COVID-19 disease prevention measures, they do not need to take any other separate measures, ”the report said.

In recent days, a large number of infected people have been registered in Lithuania. There were 99 of them on Saturday and 80 on Sunday.
