Iran reported more than 1.5 thousand on Saturday. confirmed new cases of COVID-19 infection and warned of the increasing number of coronavirus infections in the country’s southwest, despite declining rates in other regions.

Recent reports highlight Chuzestan and several other provinces in red, including the capital Tehran and the Shiite spiritual center Coma, where the first cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in the country in February.
Earlier last week, Iran recorded the fewest infections per day since March 10, but since then the rate has started to rise again.
According to Jahanpour, 1,529 new cases of COVI-19 infection have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 106,106.
48 people died of coronavirus per day. In total, the coronavirus has already claimed the lives of 6,589 people in the country.
85,064 people were recovered and discharged from hospitals.
Still, both at home and abroad, there are doubts about whether Iran is publishing the correct data, which could actually be much higher.
