Government: In the Czech Republic, which has relaxed its quarantine, coronavirus remains under control
Czech officials said Friday that the spread of the coronavirus in the country remained under control, nearly two weeks after the reopening of supermarkets, cinemas and restaurant terraces as part of a relaxation of the global quarantine.
“On May 11 a mass execution took place [karantino] mitigation did not affect the epidemiological curve, “Health Minister Adam Vojtech told reporters.
10.7 million A member of the European Union with a population of 8,757 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, including 306 deaths, now reports an increasing number of recovered individuals and fewer hospitalized patients.
“The epidemiological situation is very stable … very positive,” said reporter Ladislav Dušek, head of the Czech Institute for Health Information and Statistics.
“There is no global threat after mitigation. We just have to be vigilant about local issues,” he said.
COVID-19 was extended this week among workers at the Darkovo mine in the north of the Czech Republic. About 130 people were diagnosed with the infection, but none of them required hospitalization.
“We also have some smaller centers in Prague, but these are the only two regions where we see a problem,” Wojtech said.
On May 25, the Czech Republic intends to further relax the quarantine measures introduced in mid-March, when the virus began to spread in the country.
The government will allow events for up to 300 participants and will open restaurants, hotels, castles, zoos and swimming pools.
From that date, Czechs will no longer have to wear masks in public places, a requirement that will only apply to shops and public transport.
Within a day, the country will move from general border controls to random controls, but the Czech Republic will continue to admit people who have tested negative for COVID-19.
