Representatives of the Maxima retail chain note that they are currently unaware that the employees of the Maxima XXX store working in Šiauliai Akropolis feel the typical symptoms of COVID-19.

“A worker who has been diagnosed with coronavirus has been isolated at home for the second week because COVID-19 is a member of his family. He was tested for coronavirus on October 12. The employee did not have close contact with customers, but was possibly in close contact with four colleagues who worked at the same Maxima store. The workers were isolated.

We consult with the National Center for Public Health and, if necessary, take the recommended actions ”, says Ernesta Dapkienė, Director of the Communication and Image Department of the Maxima retail chain.

A total of 24 Maxima workers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, 17 of whom have fully recovered and returned to work. To date, 759 Maxima employees have been investigated for COVID-19. Currently, the test responses of 8 employees are pending.
