“With the widespread spread of COVID-19 infection across the country, cases continue to be reported among our employees. All are treated at home. Employees who had potentially close contact with colleagues who developed COVID-19 became isolated. Stores and other premises where coronavirus-infected staff were employed have also been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected internally.

We are consulting with the National Center for Public Health and taking all recommended preventive actions that would help prevent the spread of COVID-19 diseases, ”says Ernesta Dapkienė, Director of the Communication and Image Department of the Maxima retail chain.

Retail chain Maxima has been informing the public about all cases of workers infected with COVID-19 since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three cases were identified in a store

Yesterday, COVID-19 infection was detected in three employees in Vilnius.

Maxima XXX stores located on Savanorių Ave. 247, the worker who was last infected with the coronavirus was at her workplace on November 10. Three colleagues who had potentially close contact with a COVID-19 patient self-isolated.

Another patient at the Vilnius Maxima XX store, Ukmergės str. 369, the employee last visited her workplace on November 6. There were no close contacts with other people.

The coronavirus was also diagnosed in Vilnius at the Maxima XXX store, Ozo str. 18, employees of an existing culinary workshop. He was last at his workplace on November 12. No close contacts were found.

COVID-19 illnesses were diagnosed in two employees in Kaunas. Maxima XX Store, Šarkuvos str. 1А, the employee was at her workplace for the last time on November 6. No close contacts were found.

Maxima XXX stores, Savanorių ave. 255, employee. He was last at work on November 9. No close contacts were found.

Two Maxima X stores in Rietavas, Plungės str., Were infected with coronavirus. 2A, employees. One of them last visited their workplace on November 9 and the other on November 10. These illnesses are unrelated because the employees did not have high-risk contact with each other. Furthermore, no possible close contact with other people has been identified.

COVID-19 was also diagnosed at the Maxima XXX store in Marijampolė, V. Kudirkos str. 3, personal. You last visited work on November 2 and isolated yourself because COVID-19 is a sick family member. There were no contacts with colleagues.

The Maxima X stores in Ukmergė, Anykščių str., Were also infected with the coronavirus. 6-1, employee. He last visited the job on November 7. No close contacts were found.

Stores and other premises where workers infected with COVID-19 worked were completely cleaned and disinfected. According to E. Dapkienė, the employees and customers of the Maxima store can feel safe and continue to visit these stores.
