Delfi has received the news that these unforeseen circumstances are a coronavirus infection. Marija Tarasova, director of the L. ep “Lietuva” ensemble, confirmed that the institution is currently closed, all in self-isolation, the facilities are being disinfected.

The set was suspended

“We have infected people, but the final data has not yet been fully confirmed. As a result, the complex is currently suspended, the facilities are being disinfected and the actions scheduled for this week are postponed, ”said M. Tarasova.

These events, he said, were already scheduled for the spring, but were canceled due to the quarantine introduced. Until then, only the premiere of the collage opera Mažvydas had been presented. “This time we were fully prepared for the performances, but it turned out that we had cases, we all isolated ourselves and did not act until October 1,” said the interlocutor.

Instructions from the National Public Health Center (NVSC) received instructions on what to do in this case. “The dance show” Uncles and Uncles “has been postponed until mid-October, other events – until November. I hope that everything is resolved. Health is important,” said the interlocutor.

One of the choristers of the Lietuva ensemble also works part-time at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater (LNOBT). So the LNOBT choir had to isolate itself because of the contact it had. “All were isolated, even if they had contact. The case has been identified, located in time, everything has been disinfected, the theater is safe,” said LNOBT head Jonas Sakalauskas.

Follow all possible security measures

He stressed that the theater is following all the recommended measures, even more so. “Because we had dire consequences, we sent everyone who returned from abroad to take the test. But people are also aware,” said J. Sakalauskas about the current reality.

Coronavirus outbreaks are likely to be more frequent. Every day we hear about new fireplaces in medical and educational institutions. “Culture, education and tourism have been greatly affected by the coronavirus pandemic, in a bad way. We had no cases of this type that would have affected the cultural field in this way, even during World War II. People lose. the opportunity to participate in the performances; in the long run, it will be difficult to recover that habit and the spectator himself. The moral damage to human mental health at the state level is high. I hope that our activities will continue because they are very significant, “said the interlocutor .

That only in the fight against one disease there would be no problems with others: a decrease in the happiness index. “Cultural events strengthen the feeling of happiness, psychologically relieve after stress, allow to live a fuller and healthier life. The disease seized me when I slept less, I did not take care of my health so much, that’s when I found out ”, warned J. Sakalauskas.
