People ages 60 to 99 died of COVID-19 last day
Seven people died last day from COVID-19, ranging in age from 60 to 99, according to data released by Statistics Lithuania on Tuesday.
Four of the deceased belonged to the age group of 80 to 89 years.
One person who died of COVID-19 was between 60 and 69 years old, one between 70 and 79 years old, and another between 90 and 99 years old.
All of these people died in hospitals.
The Statistics Department notes that the death toll is preliminary and can be filled with records delayed in a few days.
A total of 3,263 people died in Lithuania from COVID-19. 6534 deaths have been linked to this infectious disease, directly and indirectly.
The majority of COVID-19 deaths (1,172 people) were in the 80-89 age group. The three dead were between 20 and 29 years old.
Currently, 935 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals, 77 of whom are in resuscitation.

Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė said Monday that it will be possible to talk about business facilities after vaccinating the most vulnerable people.
“There are no signs that the numbers are good. But in the context of the EU, our average incidence is lower than in the EU, the number of deaths is decreasing,” said A. Bilotaitė.
