One of them is probably the most important exhibition “Choose a Lithuanian Product” that brings together Lithuanian creators and manufacturers every autumn. The exhibition, which will take place for the twelfth time from October 9-11 in Kaunas at the Žalgiris Arena, is expected to host 250 Lithuanian brands and manufacturers who are just starting their activities and are already well known to all.
“It is no secret that both beginners and niche producers in our country have a lot of difficulties accessing the main supermarkets, salons or stores. Consequently, it is more difficult for buyers to discover high-quality products developed in the country of small producers. For this reason, we are sincerely glad that every year the “Choose a Lithuanian Product” exhibition becomes a springboard to find its target customers for newly created manufacturers and buyers looking for quality, original solutions and Lithuanian products. This is especially important this year, when the country’s business is going through an unusual and challenging period, ”says Erikas Piskunovas, director of the company“ Exposition Center ”, which organizes the exhibition.
From fashion to an independent business social space
For the twelfth time, the exhibition participants will surprise visitors with food and drink tastings, a variety of cosmetics and household chemicals, clothing and accessories, and solutions for the home and interior.
We are pleased that for the third consecutive year the ‘Social Business Commercial Arch’ organized by ‘Verslios Lietuvos’ will be located in the exhibition, where various social businesses will invite visitors to buy and become familiar with their products, services, activities and added value. sensitive social problems of our society ”, comments the organizer of the exhibition.
Special attention will be paid to the creators of Lithuanian clothing and accessories at the exhibition. A “Fashion Passage” will be established on the second floor of the “Žalgiris” stadium especially for them and visitors interested in fashion. It includes only fashion products, clothing, accessories, jewelry manufacturers, presentations of new collections and other related topics. According to the organizers, by visiting Fashion Passage, visitors to the exhibition will not only have the opportunity to buy the products they like at the manufacturer’s prices, but also learn about the inspiring stories of Lithuanian brands.
The best products in the country are announced
“It is true that the exhibition spaces of the participants are only part of the exhibition program. To contribute as much as possible to the promotion of Lithuanian business, our partners are actively completing the program of seminars and discussions. Participants will be received by the conference “Export Code. How not to waste a good crisis? ”, Inviting anyone who wants to expand their business abroad and gain export experience from experienced companies. The exhibition will also feature an informative event “Bioeconomy and the future of the food industry. How will we overcome the challenges? ”, Says E. Piskunov.
During the exhibition opening ceremony, the best products presented at the exhibition will be announced and selected by an authorized commission. The evaluations of the submitted applications are carried out throughout September, and the range of products presented to the competition in advance is extremely wide: from innovative freeze-dried snacks to exclusive haircuts and layers of materials, berry wines every time more discovered by Lithuanians to cosmetics that have applied the latest scientific achievements.
“Throughout the history of the exhibition, nearly 200 products have already been awarded medals and diplomas as the best products presented at the exhibition. Today they are household names, such as Greenmeel cosmetics made by Cosmoway, InAVATI outerwear by Siulvedė, Delikatesas meat products, Rūta and Aconitum chocolates. “Food supplements, dog food from Akvatera LT and many other products that later became popular throughout the country and the region,” says E. Piskunovas.
An immediate space of knowledge
According to Justė Pinkevičienė, Marketing Director and co-owner of the Lithuanian cosmetics brand Cosmoway, which has participated in the exhibition since 2016, the “Choose a Lithuanian Product” exhibition is a direct space where manufacturer and consumer can establish direct contact.
“This exhibition is a great opportunity to meet and communicate with consumers in a very open way. Every live meeting with current or future users of the cosmetics we create cannot be replaced by any research. Listen and feel the real needs of the Lithuanian people from his own lips is our constant aspiration, ”says Cosmoway’s marketing director.
According to J. Pinkevičienė, during the exhibition, consumers can not only see the latest brand novelties and buy them at special prices, but also meet with the cosmetic manufacturers themselves and ask them questions.
“We are always happy to advise on all beauty topics and share experiences. So this is a great place not only to buy the latest cosmetic products, but also to gain useful daily knowledge on cosmetic use and selection,” says a Cosmoway representative.

Meanwhile, for the second year in a row, according to Dominykas Švedas, the creator of the handmade Nightwood brand, which produces elegant and natural dining tables, “Choose a Lithuanian product” is like a source of inspiration.
“For us, it is more than an exhibition, it is a source of inspiration and a mission to show how charming and unique things are born in our homeland,” says Swede.
According to the developer, the experience of preparing and participating in the 2019 event was extraordinary, so even during the difficult stage of 2020 for business, there were no doubts about participation in the event.
“It was a great pleasure to receive many compliments and questions about our creations, each of which is unique and handmade. It’s always a great pleasure to see the interest, there was definitely no shortage of questions, sometimes we barely had time to answer. We told everyone who wanted to tell the story of the origin of the products, a complex and interesting path from the idea of each product to its implementation. We are already eager to know how we want to participate and communicate again, because the new products and their unique stories await everyone who is interested, ”says the developer.
