“We hear information from individual carriers, we have made official inquiries to related associations, we are talking with the Lithuanian Embassy in Belarus, but we still do not have official documents. The carriers speak with their suppliers and recipients both in Russia and Belarus,” said Romas Austinskas, president of Linava, to BNS.
“We have informed the Ministries of Transport and Foreign Relations of these fears, but they are not official,” he added.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications told BNS that it had no official information on Belarus’s plans, and Lithuanian trade attaché in Belarus Julijus Glebov also said he had only heard rumors.

According to R. Austinskas, the closure of Belarus would be a big blow to Lithuanian airlines.
