Cannes Film Festival Winners Announced

At the beginning of the ceremony, American director Spike Lee, the first black chairman of the jury, was going to present the Best Actor award, but inadvertently announced who had won the main award at the festival.

The Palme d’Or Branch was awarded to French director Julia Ducournau for the film Titan.

The grand prize was shared by Iranian director Ashgar Farhadis for the film Hero and Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen for Coupe No. 6 ”(Compartment No. 6).

Renate Reinsve, a Norwegian actress who has been recognized as the best actress, has starred in “The worst person in the world.”

Caleb Landry Jones, American, won the Best Actor award for his role in Nitram.

Japanese screenwriters Hamaguchi Ryusuke and Takamasa Oe were recognized as the authors of the best screenplay.

The jury award was shared by Israeli director Nadav Lapid for Ahed’s Knee and Thailand’s Apichatpong Weerasethakul for Memory.

The award for best first feature went to Croatian Antoneta Kusijanovič for “Murina”.

The best short film award went to All the Crows in the World, by Hong Kong director Tang Yi.
