Businesses that boycott the passport of opportunity will be ruined

Recently, the contract with the pizzeria was unilaterally terminated by the delivery service company Bolt Food.

Admittedly, as a result, Bolt has lost not only one partner, but several clients as well.

The pizzeria informed its customers about this on a social media profile. “We continue with the section: how to destroy representatives of small businesses who have a different position …

Not doing it through state institutions leads to a second step: reducing income.

Today we received a letter from our partner Boltfood.be that they are unilaterally ending their cooperation with our pizzeria.

Reasons: The activity of the pizzeria on the platform is only 81.55 percent. our work time as a referral request is 84 percent.

Significant non-compliance with the recommendation. The company claims to have received complaints about our staff’s disrespectful communication with their employees.

We hear it for the first time; Bolt Food says it has suffered a lot of dissatisfaction from its customers due to late orders.

After reviewing last week’s statistics, our food scored 4.82 on the customer rating scale, ranging from 1 to 5 points.

Can dissatisfied customers leave such a high rating?

Our pizzeria has the best rating in Šiauliai.

During the period of our cooperation with Bolt, we have not received any complaints from them, comments that something is wrong.

You yourself know that companies are always looking for common solutions and compromises. In this situation, everything is clear … A large company throws a small company out of the game …

What a paradox, the other exit platform we work with has no claim on us.

When the manager asked for the opportunity to communicate with Bolt’s manager to find common solutions, a written response was received: “There is no such opportunity, sorry.”

Do you still believe that we live in a free country? ”The pizzeria reported the news to its followers.

Vakaro žinios contacted Mantas Zemleckas, the manager of the Gustukas pizzeria, and asked if increased pressure would eventually force the small family business to obey the government’s instructions.

– I think this fight of ours will soon go to court. Many entrepreneurs have already expressed their support for this idea.

And Bolt Food’s decision, I think, was made because of the values we declared.

To my knowledge, no restaurant contract has been terminated in this way.

After all, you are a food exporter – the more partners you have, the more you earn. Our restaurant generated around 4-4.5 thousand. turnover in euros each month.

Anyway, the business would not give up that money …

At the beginning of this situation, Bolt Food turned out to be a bit arrogant and the customers themselves contacted Bolt Food with questions about the Gustukas pizzeria.

They received responses that our restaurant did not meet security requirements.

But it must be recognized that to work as Bolt’s messenger you do not need to provide any information about whether you have been vaccinated or are ill and have antibodies. The test does not need to be done every ten days.

Companies that choose to accept people with only Opportunity Passports for some reason boldly admit Bolt employees, although they probably don’t even have an Opportunity Passport.

It is true that it is worth mentioning that after the situation was made public, we were contacted by the management of Bolt Food, but now we do not want to cooperate further ourselves.

We are currently looking for a driver to take out the pizzas.

– Does it seem like the Bolt Food solution has only increased customer service for your pizzeria?

– People reacted sensitively. I think this Bolt move cost them a lot.

Not only has he lost us as a partner, but he has also reduced the circle of customers.

We received multiple video messages filming a person downloading the Bolt Food app, rating it negatively, and removing it.

This has shown that the belief that nothing depends on us, that small businesses care and have no power, is wrong.

We felt so united and supportive that it was difficult to put it into words.

I think it sent a signal to this company that they would no longer risk taking any small business out of their system.

– The upshot of all this – on September 1, did you get so many customers that the longest queue was at the pizzeria?

– We can be glad that so many people have not yet arrived at the pizzeria. We have 29 tables.

Everyone was busy and there were so many people waiting in line. It motivates us a lot, we feel positive.

– How do your staff feel about participating in such value struggles?

– Interestingly, almost half of our employees are vaccinated. The other side decided not to get vaccinated but to take the test. That is what we are financing.

It seems that there should be a real war within the company, but it is the opposite: we all agree perfectly and respect the decisions of others.

This shows that it is possible to communicate without dividing people into vaccinated and unvaccinated.

By the way, I think that if the authorities point out that the third dose of the vaccine is also mandatory, a large group of people who have already been fully vaccinated will object.

After all, it was said that two doses would be enough.

– As if it were still small, a few days ago the Ministry of Health announced that restaurants have to deliver take-out food to people without an Opportunity Passport in separate rooms. How have companies accepted such ministerial surprises when changes are announced overnight that will take effect in a few hours?

– Recently, we have become used to receiving similar surprises from the ministry on Friday afternoons, when it is necessary to reorient the business in a few hours or days.

This time, however, the changes did not affect us. The new procedure was adopted for those companies that only accept people with an Opportunity Passport.

Those who asked for government promises and started working with only Passports of Opportunity could not accept people without Passports of Opportunity, even when they only wanted to buy food to go.

That is why the amendments were approved.

– September 13 is approaching, when even stricter restrictions for people without a Passport to Opportunity should take effect. What business humor?

– They have been very negative for a long time. We will probably keep working. Probably before the first fine.

It is difficult to predict what the new restrictions would actually look like.

For example, a person with an Opportunity Passport will come to the cafeteria and order two drinks. We’ll serve him, and he can give the second drink to his friend he came with.

A friend does not buy anything, so we will not ask for an Opportunity Passport.

And not letting a person enter a public place is impossible. It would also be the case if there were parents without an Opportunity Passport with a child under 16 years of age, for whom the Opportunity Passport is issued without any criteria.

I receive many calls from entrepreneurs who no longer hide that they have lost hope.

We are talking to each other and we still hope that the government will not accept the restrictions that are being announced.

Because no one can find logical explanations for why people need to be so divided. If this really becomes a reality, then something is seriously wrong in our country …

If the government mentions the constitutional rights of the people, I think it will also affect the choices and decisions of the people. They may also decide not to follow the law.

Information

By the way, Vakaro žinios searched the Bolt Food app and found many pizzerias, whose customers are rated much worse, and no one terminated their contracts with them.

For example, the Vilnius pizzeria has a score of 3.7 out of 5. The two “George and the Dragon” pizzerias in Vilnius (which consistently support the LGBT movement) have a score of 4.4 points.

There are many such examples. Of all these pizzerias, despite these ratings, food can be ordered through the Bold Food app.

Vakaro žinios asked Bolt Food how many negative customer reviews the company has recorded about the Gustukas pizzeria and how many recent cooperation agreements Bolt Food has unilaterally terminated.

However, the company did not want to answer these questions, only sent a general comment.

“We are a business organization and we make decisions based on agreed bilateral commitments, not on personal sympathies or policies.

When evaluating the quality of restaurants, we monitor criteria such as partner activity, order production time, communication with food delivery couriers is very important to us.

This case is not exceptional, when after evaluating the quality of the services provided by a certain Bolt Food partner, it was decided to stop working with the restaurant, “said Ruslan Savičius, head of food delivery development at Bolt Food in the countries Baltics.
