Brigitte Macron’s sensitive confession for French publication

The wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, B. Macron, 67, has three children. His wife was married to her first husband, Andre-Louis Auziere (the marriage took place in 1974). Macron now has seven grandchildren.

Speaking to Elle in France, Ms Macron mentioned that she had given birth for the first time at the age of 21 and recalled how helpless she felt when she had to leave the maternity ward.

He admitted that responsibility for the fetus caused him real fear.

“He was afraid of not knowing what to do, he was afraid that something would happen to him. During the first three weeks, he screamed day and night, ”said the woman.

“Nobody talks about how lonely and helpless young mothers can feel,” Macron added ruefully. “When I was 21, right after the birth of my first child, I was standing in front of the hospital waiting for her father to come and go home, wanting to turn around, go back and hide in the maternity ward.”

During the entire three weeks, the baby cried almost non-stop, but the summoned doctor assured that nothing was wrong.
Unfortunately, as it turned out later, Brigitte’s son, Sebastien, had health problems (which the woman did not disclose), and so severe that surgery was even needed.

After mentioning the burden on the part of mothers, Macron noted that when you think about the safety of children, you should also think about helping mothers.

Macron, who can now enjoy seven grandchildren, gave birth to three children during her first marriage, which lasted from 1974 to 2006.

Sebastien, the eldest son, is now 45 years old. He is an engineer and vice president of a public opinion research agency.

Brigitte also had two daughters, Laurence Auziere-Jourdan and Tiphaine Auziere. One has acquired the profession of cardiologist and the other works as a lawyer. By the way, the second daughter attended the same school class as her mother’s future wife, E. Macron.

When the first French couple met, they distinguished themselves by a considerable number of years: Macron was then only 15 years old and Brigitte was 39. This is the main reason why their novel is often classified as outlier.

The future spouses met at school. The extremely advanced student fell in love with her literature teacher very quickly. The relationship between the student and the teacher grew closer and closer. The two became particularly close when sixteen-year-old E. Macron began attending a school drama club run by none other than Brigitte.

After rumors of a knitting novel spread between a mother of three and a teenager, Macron’s parents reportedly sent their son to Paris to give him and the teacher as much distance as possible.

Brigitte’s parents (both doctors) were treated as if they had a plague: citizens condemning their daughter’s behavior sent letters with relevant content, closed the door of the house.

However, the feeling that connected the couple was too strong to stifle and eventually it turned into an irresistible passion.

By the way, all the talk about something romantic could have happened before Macron was old enough was denied by the couple.

In 2007, a year after Brigitte’s divorce from her first husband, the wedding of her and Ms Macron took place.
When Macron began his political career and appeared more and more in public, it was quite difficult for the French to get used to such an unconventional partner. Over time, the situation has changed. During the election campaign, the difference of a couple of years even turned into a kind of advantage.

Now, this unusual relationship is no longer surprising, at least in France. French women view Macrono’s publicly demonstrated devotion to his elder spouse as value. In her opinion, this marriage says a lot about a man who, at just 17 years old, was able to convince a mature woman that he was worthy of her.
