BPC will accept emergency medical calls from 13 other municipalities

The administration of telephones 03, 103 and 033 is being assumed in the municipalities of Vilnius and Utena counties, whose territory is served by the dispatch office of the Ambulance Station of the public institution, reported BPC.

Starting Thursday at 9pm. Calls to the short telephone numbers 03, 103 and 033 of Vilnius city, Vilnius district, Elektrėnai, Ignalina district, Molėtai district, Šalčininkai district, Širvintos district, Švenčionys district, Trakai district, district from Ukmergė, Utena district, Visaginas district and Zarasai district will be diverted to the BPC Vilnius branch.

The center staff, answering the calls to call the ambulance, will find out the address of the place, the main complaint and will pass this information along with the call to the ambulance dispatchers, who will continue the call and ensure an adequate response to the request for assistance.

Since October last year, the General Emergency Response Center has taken over and manages the numbers in the territories served by the dispatch centers of the Panevėžys, Klaipėda and Šiauliai ambulance stations.

After taking over the call flows from the Ambulance Station, BPC will manage short ambulance calls in most of the territory of Lithuania.

According to the schedule approved by the Ministers of Health and Interior, the BPC must take over the calls to the communication numbers 03, 103 and 033 in the entire territory of Lithuania before March 31 of this year.

The government has decided that as of October 1 this year, there will only be one emergency phone number for all emergency requests in Lithuania: 112.
