Zdovc began his coaching career in 1997-1998, but then worked as an assistant coach for only one season and continued to play basketball. In 2003, he finished his career and began training.
Last season, the Slovenian coached Paris Metropolitano 92, with which he achieved sixth place in the French league in the regular season, and in the quarterfinals he landed 68:79 in the ROI of Strasbourg.

Before becoming a coach, Zdovcas had a 19-year career as a basketball player, and in the 1998-1999 season he played with Šarūnas Jasikevičius at the Olimpija club in Ljubljana. As a player, the Slovenian has become Euroleague champion (1993) and has been inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame for his merits for basketball in 2020.
The last time Zdovc coached the Euroleague club was a decade ago, when he was at the wheel of Olympia in 2008-2011. In three years, the team led by specialists from Ljubljana won 8 victories in 20 matches in the Euroleague regular season and once entered the TOP 16 stage.
