Currently, this indicator reaches 443.1 cases per 100 thousand. population in 14 days.

On Monday, the Government’s Emergency Commission discussed the latest epidemiological situation in the country and the strategy presented by the Ministry of Health to get out of quarantine in stages.

The Minister of the Interior Agnė Bilotaitė presented the plan proposed by the Ministry of the Interior on restricting the movement of the population between municipalities. It consists of three parts. The first thing to consider is loosening the restrictions between the municipalities of the city and the ring.

“It will be possible to speak of certain exemptions in this area if the morbidity rate is less than 200 cases per 100 thousand. population in 14 days and the proportion of positive tests will be less than 10%. Then we can talk and consider the possibility of unleashing the movement between the ring and the municipalities of the city, ”A. Bilotaitė told reporters on Monday.

In the second case, traffic restrictions are provided only on weekends. If the morbidity rate will be less than 150 cases per 100 thousand. population, and the proportion of positive tests will not exceed 5%, then it can be considered that the restriction between municipalities would only apply on weekends and holidays.

At that time, in the third case, a significant drop in morbidity, according to the minister, it will be possible to lift the restriction on circulation.

“If we reach 100 cases, 100 thousand. population in 14 days, and the proportion of positive convicts will not exceed 4%, in which case we can talk about the response of the restriction between municipalities. Except in those municipalities where the number of diseases would be higher ”, said A. Bilotaitė.

The movement restriction has been extended until March

The police have been restricting the movement of people between municipalities until early March. It is true that there are several exceptions. Among them, when traveling to or from airports, seaports, bus stations serving international passenger routes, to the municipality of your place of residence due to the death of close relatives.

Nor is it prohibited to travel for work reasons when the place of employment is in another municipality, for health services, for other objectively justified urgent reasons, when it is unavoidable to travel to a municipality other than the place of residence.

The restriction also does not apply to people who travel to a municipality other than the one in which they reside, where they have real estate.

Members of a “social bubble” can also move from one municipality to another. This means that two families or two households can communicate if one of them has no more than one adult (along with minor children) or a person who needs constant care and attention.

The quarantine in Lithuania lasts from November 7 to December 16. strict measures have been introduced. The quarantine lasted until the beginning of March.
