According to a press release, a spokesperson for the Finnish company Rapal, R. Lund, predicts that regardless of whether the end of the pandemic increases work from the office or from home, companies will need to provide a safe work environment that increases productivity and creativity of employees.

According to the expert, after the pandemic, business class offices will look like hotels, because when they return to the offices, employees will expect a continuation of a cozy and comfortable home environment.

“Companies will prioritize modern offices that can offer a healthy work environment, with smart solutions such as innovative ventilation and individual lighting, which will help employees feel better and work more efficiently,” emphasizes R. Lund.

He is convinced that after COVID-19, hygiene standards will be even higher and innovations that will reduce contact between employees will play a particularly important role: for example, room keys will be moved to phone applications smart in many places.

R. Lund says employees tired of telecommuting after the pandemic will rush to the office to meet colleagues, get inspired and brainstorm.

“For example, in London this fall, a large number of employees, although they had the opportunity to work from home, wanted to return to their offices sooner than internal company procedures allowed. However, combining home and office work is likely to become more common and standard practice, ”says an expert on planning an effective work environment.

This is also demonstrated by the 2,000 jobs carried out by the British Council for Offices (BCO) this September. A survey of UK office staff found that the vast majority of respondents, from managers to apprentices, prioritize organizing mixed work, combining work from home and telecommuting.

According to Lund, in the future, instead of reducing office rents, companies will consider renting a smaller but more characteristic office in a more convenient central location in the city for the same amount. A well-located modern office will help attract talented employees, which will remain the biggest struggle in the job market.

As companies present different work organization scenarios, building managers are already looking for ways to help tenants make the best use of rented office space.

According to Karolis Tuinyla, administrator of the investment fund Lords LB Special Fund I Subfund B, which is developing the Lviv business center in the capital, an audit of the occupancy of the facilities and the activity of the employees is being carried out in cooperation with international partners to maintain a long-term tenant relationship. rent ‘.

“After collecting the actual information on the use of the facilities and conducting an employee survey, it can be clear that the 2,000 square meters. meters for the same number of employees would be enough 1,500 square meters. meters if the tenant implements the recommended action plan, ”says K. Tuinyla.

According to R. Lund, the automation of internal processes such as accounting, reservation of corridors, parking, as well as additional opportunities to resign from positions such as, for example, “office administrator” by transferring the coordination of these services to the manager of the center building of business.
