During a meeting with senators, US President Joe Biden emphasized the need to increase investment in US infrastructure and highlighted the need for the country to further strengthen its position by accepting Chinese commitments.

The Chinese president, according to the statement from the Foreign Ministry, called on Biden to reestablish various dialogue mechanisms, to understand the political intentions of both parties and to avoid misunderstandings and misjudgments.
