The Bavarians beat UANL Tigres de México 1-0 in the final of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and will put another title on the trophy shelf.

Bayern’s winning goal was scored by Benjamin Pavard in the 59th minute. The referee did not initially count the French goal for the sideline, but reversed the decision after reviewing the VAR.

A defender kept the ball from crossing the goal line after a curly shot from the right by Joshua Kimmicho in the 18th minute and prevented VAR from raising another goal.

After a well-scored goal in the second half, the Bavarians had more than one chance to score, but the Mexicans were saved by the goalkeeper or by success after serious errors by the defenders and the goalkeeper.

The FIFA Club World Cup was postponed from 2020 due to a pandemic. It usually takes place at the end of the year, around mid-December.

Bayern received the right to play in the FIFA Club World Cup for winning the UEFA Champions League.

Adding this title, the Bavarians in total during 2019-2020. won up to six trophies this season: the Bundesliga, the German Cup and Super Cup, the UEFA Champions League and Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

So far, only Barcelona has been able to capture this achievement, collecting all six trophies in 2008-2009. season.

Bayern won the FIFA Club World Cup for the second time. The Munich team did it for the first time in 2013.
