The Ministry of Health proposes that cafes, bars, restaurants and other catering and entertainment venues are no longer subject to working time restrictions.
Under current quarantine requirements, they are only allowed to operate from 7 to 24 hours.
The condition that the requested food and beverages must be consumed at the tables in the open spaces, and the activities carried out in the open spaces, remains in force.
As before, only those who have the passport of opportunity will be able to receive services internally: vaccinated, sick or with a negative result in the COVID-19 test.
Lighter requirements for the passport of opportunities.
Among other things, the Ministry of Health intends to vaccinate people with coronavirus with a single dose of the vaccine. Related to this are some changes to the passport options.
People like full vaccines will be able to use the passport for an indefinite period under milder quarantine conditions, but it will take two weeks after vaccination.
Among other things, for sick and unvaccinated people, the freer quarantine conditions are valid for 210 days instead of 180, as is currently the case.
The ministry also proposes to extend the validity of the antigen test from 24 to 48 hours.
At present, people coming to Lithuania need to be tested for COVID-19 no earlier than 72 hours, they are also subject to isolation, with the exception of people who have been sick and vaccinated.
The SAM proposes a slight tightening of the deadlines for people who take the tests; As before, the PCR test should be performed no earlier than 72 hours and the antigen test no earlier than 48 hours.
Vaccinated individuals may arrive without additional testing one week after the second dose of Pfizer, two weeks after the second dose of Moderna, 15 days after the second dose of AstraZeneca, or two weeks after a single dose of Johnson & Johnson .
The ministry is working to harmonize procedures and admit people without testing two weeks after the full vaccination schedule, as well as people who have been sick and vaccinated with a single dose two weeks after vaccination and the disease has been confirmed by PCR.
The requirements for relapsed patients would not change, they would be admitted without restriction within 180 days after confirmation of disease by PCR.
The isolation rules are established in a separate resolution of the Minister of Health. At present, isolation does not apply to relapsed and vaccinated people who meet the conditions established in the quarantine order. Meanwhile, participants with tests must isolate themselves for some time.
The Ministry of Health has previously committed to reviewing this procedure as well.
Other changes
The government draft resolution also proposes to allow non-formal education of children to be carried out in a contact manner, and no more than 30 children could participate in activities in closed spaces at the same time and in children’s camps in a group.
It is also proposed to allow contact with non-formal adult education and non-formal vocational training.
In closed spaces, 10 m2. meters per person or no more than one person can participate at a time. These rules may not apply when only vaccinated people are involved.
If the government approves these changes, they should take effect on Thursday.
